Page 12: Plug for Ugetime on CBBC.

Hilariously, a two page spread on Sky Digital in Ireland. Quote:
"As you settle down on your sofa, pick up your Sky Remote and flick through the hundreds of channels available, the way you used to watch TV is probably a dim and distant memory: RTE, BBC and UTV, much of it fed through cable and MMDS networks"

Yes, UTV is indeed a dim and distant memory for ROI subscribers.

Page 71: My Dad's the Prime Minister on CBBC.

So, this means we can now get UTV, ITV2 and CBBC? First I heard about it.

First I heard about it too? This is made for the ROI isn't it...Well it better mean we get ITV2 (& ITV)....however since that's highly unlikely I guess they just couldn't be bothered printing a seperate Magazine...

No chance of us getting ITV2 or CBBC ever unless RTE is bought out by BBC,lol. Many UK articles still appear in our magazine. UTV maybe next year but even that id put more money on me winning the lottery.

that article with the mention of UTV interests me. if it is a sign of things to come then why no mention of Channel 4. i wouldn't pin any hopes on that magazine anyway

I thought the adverts for programmes on ITV 2 were funny, and i also found the line about "BBC and UTV coming down cable or mmds" to be very funny.

I would suggest that when UTV comes to our ROI package(and i think it will, albeit stripped of ITV network programming), they will then allow us have an Irish Advertising and some programmes culled version of ITV 2, which of course we will pay a higher subscription for. These would be well worthy additions if not just to get more content.

But Channel 4 is to me the onimous one, remember a few months ago when asked about certain channels coming to the EPG, SKY said that there werent even talks going ahead with Channel 5 to get it to join the ROI package, it wasnt even being considered at all, and i fear now that Channel 4 is heading into the same bracket with them i.e they have no intention of joining the package, they are happy with E4 and the money its making for us.
