PS2, 5.1 setup

I wanna setup a small 5.1 system with the optical out on the PS2...so I need 5.1 speaker and an amp for reasonable price say €200, can this be achieved? Peats sell a Creative 5.1 set for soundblaster, can it be made to work on PS2? What really annoys me is that I have half decent 2-speaker hi-fi, a PS2 Logic 3 'Sound Station'(gift) and the tv is nicam, are these all useless? Any help is much appreciated.

This is great as a second system for a PS2? straight fiber from ps2 to the amp!!
It auto detects all the encoded stuff so its no hassle at all.
Its also not too bad at music.
by far the best option for that kind of money.

never had a problem in 3years!!

    njoy

Fabritzo, those speakers Peats told you about are PC based only.

I'd also recommend the Creative speakers too.
