It was reported in the evening herald last night that dustin is appearing on sarah cox's Radio 1 breakfast show following an email from an expat stating that the only thing he misses from ireland is dustin the turkey!
He then appeared on the show.......

Will the words most famous turkey follow in zig & zags footsteps and pull a runner to the uk?

I suppose it depends on whats on offer................

Anyone else know anything about this?

Ah here. Dustin's always good for a laugh. Whether it's insulting Gay Byrne and/or Pat Kenny or when he was just talking rubbish with Ray D'arcy.

I think he's brilliant.................i still tune into den tv whenever i get the chance. He's gas!:D

I recently saw zig and zag on one of those 'nostalgic, looking back on' programmes on sky, you know, the ones where they have F-List celebs commenting on certain era's or popstars etc.

The joke is old. Time for him to go - but like most things RTE will just keep milking it.

If the UK want him for 2 months, until they get bored, let them have him.

I kind of agree that the Dustin thing is getting a little old, but bear in mind that hes about the only thing passing for satire in Montrose.

Id love to see him go to the UK where he can be fresh all over again. More power to him and as yellum says the money would be huge.

Still doing Podge and Rodge. The series hasnt been renewed by RTE so they have done a new series called Rats Tales which will be on in the New Year (new characters)

booo !! thank you RTE for cutting one of the rare "home grown" shows that I watch, and enjoy.

ah yes, good ol Busty McFloozy from Feckemall.

Pfff Dustin was funneh when I was younger, even up to the age of about 16 but to be honest I think its getting old. The den will never be the same since D'arcy left. I've met him and he is a great bloke. Oh well, go RTE!.

The Dustin joke got old years ago. It was funny when I was a kid, but now it's just...STFU!

He rarely even does flap flaps anymore :(

It all went downhill when D'Arcy left, I say.

true, d'arcy used to have a chemisty with the show that mcall cant even try to establish

that man mcall with laugh at anything !! if i ran onto the set and farted in sockys eye im sure he'd laugh. he's more of a muppet that any of the puppets....

    he's so dreamy

Hmmm, two weeks ago when Dustin was banned from the late late he was our favourite underdog, the turkey RTE tried to silence. Now when there is rumour he is abandoning us to go to England he is a hated traitor in this thread:D Here the majority of posts are anti Dustin. In the late late thread only one guy said he didnt like him and was savaged for it.I like Dustin alot, hes a tv institution.Heres a link or two

If he does head to England he will, for a time anyway,be the most popular irish turkey since Ronan Keating.
    Alright,i stole that line.
