I don't know of any in ireland to be honest. But if it comes down to it, some of them are fairly well up on linux compatible hardware, but you would be hard pushed to find someone who knows their stuff.

Just ask any questions you have here and im sure we can answer them :)

Because it contains his follow up reply. Did you read the full post he linked to ?

or maybe it was the old king cole part. Yeah that confused me too.
Maybe typedef reckons he's a really generous guy ?

    This thread asked for
list of companies that deal exclusively with Linux i.e. PC Shops, Contracters and the like

The thread linked did not, as far as I can tell contain any
list of companies that deal exclusively with Linux i.e. PC Shops, Contracters and the like

Hence the questioning of the relevance.

    Nominally.

It would seem the gentleman in question has cross posted in three forums stemming from one problem.

ie. His lack of root access.

Off the top of my head guys/companies who do professional admin from the ILUG I can think of umm... www.rfc-networks.ie , though I think those guys are exclusively BSD.

You could try one of those guys to ease you into interfacing with your Linux box... you could get the requisite skills yourself (always preferable) or you could hire someone on a permenant or part-time basis to administer your network.
