Is there anyone out there that is currently using a sky digital dish in ireland 55cm or under. Is it possible to receive a signal from sky using these types of dishes or is 60cm or above the required limit for ireland.

Not sure, but I think dish size is proportional to frequency / wave lenght.

45cms work fine for me and people I've installed a few FTV setups for. No breakups, etc in rain or other Irish conditions. Though the more North you go, the weaker the signal would get (I'm in Co Wexford).

I'm using a Triax 54 cm in Kildare. I set it up myself (FTV, no sky sub) and I've had no problems.

I can report at least one ,45cm'ish tiny sky digital dish working well in all weathers in Arklow.
It's the same as the ones you see across England.

Cheers guys. It looks like i'm going down the right route with the 55cm dish I have. Got it cheep. Good to know that there's dishes out there working that are the same or smaller. I'm more south in munster so I shouldn't have a problem. All down now to try and home into that signal.

as far as i know the larger 60cm dishes were for northern scotland and south west ireland.the 45cm dishes are fine for everywhere else.
