GTR 2002 absolutely amazing!

Guys you just have to play this mod.
Its aimed for sim fans ,maybe Discostu or Butcher ofnog fall into this category.
I spent all weekend downloading the 270mb file but boy was it worth.
Ive played any sim you can name,ive played any mod for F1 2002 and lots of others but no mod comes even close to this thing.
I rate it better than F1 2002 itself and close to the kings of sims ,no need to name them

Doug Arnao [of GPL fame] spent months on the physics and AI.
I cannot recomend this enough ,just wait until your exiting the Clark Curve onto main straight at Brands Hatch and you floor the throttle in your Lamborgini or you Marcos,its better than music ,the rasp and roar of the exhaust note is awe-inspiring as you approach 150 mph at a solid 50 fps before braking and dropping 3 gears to third for the next off-camber downhill right hander.
It includes 7 [i think] new tracks to add to origional F1 2002 ones.
Right thats the end of this post ,just thinking about it makes me wanna race some more.
Yes guys sounds are incredible,physics are Well!? [SCARY]
Graphics are beautifull and Force feedback incredible.
What more can i say ? If you dont have it already get ti now you will be amazed!

oddly enough i have the mod, but not the F1 2002 game, the lack of proper net multiplayer put me off buying the game for the mod. The mod has had great reviews, so perhaps if i see F1 2002 hanging around cheap over the christmas i'll pick it up

Disco,whats ur spec?
If you play using nosecam view framerate is vastly improved and sensation of speed is great.

Im wondering if many have actually went and got GTR 2002?
I suppose i could burn a copy or two for 56kers having trouble getting the file and really want it.

500 p3 and a gf2mx. none of the links seem to work and i couldnt be arsed waiting for fileplanet. ill get it when i get a new bigger HD as im to busy playing xenogears and final fantasy 8.

picked up F1 2002 in pc world (of all places) on saturday, took it home, installed the GTR-2002 and the BMW M3 mods ....... fun fun fun. The GTR mod runs smooth in testing but judders alot in race day mode, prolly my soundcard or the replay settings, plan to put some serious track time in the lambo in this week

The N-GT cars seem more fun to race with than GT class,closer racing .
Butcher i hope you have a good sound setup with a subwoofer?
That Marcos is mind-blowing on the eardrums ,the downshifts are great and when you unleash this baby man ! that rasping engine is pure music.

Had some excellent online racing last nite on the Donnington track, omg I love that track, the downhill turns and back uphill section after T1 is prolly the best section of track I've raced. Nice little NGT's we were racing, I do like the Ferrari 360, nice and stable, still finding it hard to get used to the tail happy Porsches

The online code is ropey at times, like the game seems to hang when someone connects pre race, but if everyone has decent cons then its fine.
