o2 release xda update

    At last o2 hav released what appears to be a firmware update for in Ireland ofr the xda that promises the following:


    Software Upgrade for your XDA

    The latest xda operating system is now available. Benefits include:

    · Faster Internet access. Web surfing speeds increased by up to 33%.
    · An option for the GPRS call to be 'always on' even when the xda goes into power save mode.
    · Enhanced SIM management so that SIM entries are loaded into 'Contacts' as 'mobile' numbers, meaning SMSs can be sent straight from your contacts list.
    · An ISDN WAP capability for faster WAP access.

    unfortunately im recovering from surgery at the moment and my cradle is in work and i will not be returning to the new year so I cannot test

    The ROM version numbers are as follows...

    ROM 3.14.13 ENG
    Radio 4.14

    I've upgraded and all seems to be working fine.
