From my old mucker, Richie Logue's Irish TV site, ( www.irish-tv.com ) The old hack has this exclusive :)

"There's a real possibility that RTÉ may have a TV service for the UK on SkyDigital early in the New Year. St. Patrick's Day is apparently being considered as a start date. It's almost certain that the service would have to be self-financing so expect a small monthly charge for it. "

I really hope so, I have sent so many emails to RTE asking when Tara TV was going to be replaced that they have now stopped replying to them!
I did'nt think it was ever going to happen.

I don't think the idea of a monthly charge is a good idea. Don't think there will be enough take up if people need to pay extra. Why can't they just have loadsa Teleshopping to help finance the channel. Seems to work for other channels! ;)
