Sharp GX-10 - Downloading Midi files

    Folks,

I am trying to figure out why I can download and play some midi files but not others...

It seems like the GX-10 can't play midi files that have more than six channels (didn’t even know that midi’s had channels before this!). At least that is the only thing I can find in common for the files that will work?

Any ideas, have you discovered this already?

Plus does anybody know what is the largest file size you can download in bytes or KB’s?

I frequently download midi files and on the GD87 the max file size is 50kb.

The phone can play up to a max of 16 channels (16 channel polyphonic ring tones) and I would say its the same for the Gx10.

When I get files i go in and check them using a midi editor program called n-track. People often put dead channels and sounds that the phone will reject, so sometimes you will need to delete a few of these.
