    Hey,

    I know apple+m creates a shortcut.

    But is there anyway to create a short cut in a directory of your choice?

    I'm trying to create shortcuts in my user space for apps i use regularly y'see. (o:

    Add to favourites?

    cmd-T (in OSX anyway, can't recall OS9)

    Say you wanted to create a shortcut to photshop on your desktop.

    In windows you can right click and go create new shortcut and make the new shortct from there.

    On a mac the only way I know how to is by clicking the program and pressing apple+M. I don't have write access to the Mac HD so that fails.

    Hope that explains it better. Is Os9 BTW.

    Whats wrong with selecting the application, making a shortcut, and moving the shortcut file to the desktop or wherever you want it to be?

    ...or press cmd+opt, and drag the icon to wherever you want - it will create an alias then.
