Audigy Platinum & mini-disc recording

    hey guys,

    I've had my audigy platinum since pretty much shortly after they were released, and I only tried to record from the provided software ("MiniDisc Centre", or some such) there recently, only to find that I was getting a "No Source" message on my mini-disc player.

    The setup was as follows:

    * Audigy Platinum drive bay - Digital Out port
    * Optical cable (provided w/ MD-man)
    * Sony MD-man (MZ-R90)

    The optical cable was getting light from the audigy drive bay, and the MD-man DOES work when I record from my hi-fi's optical out port.

    Anyone had problems/issues making digital recording in this way?

    :confused:

    I had a similar problem and I eventually figured out that my Digital out sampling rate was too high.

    Control Panel -> AudioHQ -> Device Controls -> Sampling Rate.
    If its at 96Khz drop it too 48Khz and your MiniDisc should start picking up the music.

    Thats what it twas on mine anyway.
