a sky one mix test has been added to 12.226H or V.

Its currently encrypted beyod the sky world level.

Also on that transponder is a test called ISM EIRE. I dont what it is for perhaps irish sky movies. Its got a technical error anyway so.

Irishgeo keeping you posted as always.

Maybe ISM EIRE is Sky One Mix for Ireland, so that like the Irish Sky One, it will have Irish-aimed adverts.

The Simpsons is the glaring omission from the Sky One Mix line-up. Anyone know why? As an effective time-shift channel, do you think Sky's rights disallow it?

I think you mean "omission" which is kinda the opposite of what you're saying...

My comment is about the ad for Sky One Mix that was being shown on the Sky channels in the past few days. You know - the one with the bloke taking off his shirt in the office, climbing out on the fire escape, going up over the roof and then twisting his ankle... (apparently he's trying to get home in time to see something on Sky One)... - anyway - normally Sky's standards in advertising are fairly good - this ad was utter rubbish.

    My 2c ;)

The BBC have been running an ad where a (athletic) man runs across roof-tops etc to get home to watch BBC.

The Sky ad is based on that!

Well, the reason behind why Sky One Mix dont have The Simpsons is that this channel is really meant for the Freeview DTT service, as Sky's offering of a general enterainment channel for free.

Sky One has the Pay-tv rights to The Simpsons. The BBC (soon to be Channel 4) have the free TV rights.

kinda like the E4 add where the a people "dancing" well trying to dance, and the announcer gets interupted by the telephone:D

Some folks I know call "Sky One" = SKY RERUN.
So what does that make Sky One Mix?
Why call it Sky One Mix rather than Someting without the "One". Not many current sky viewers would remember Sky Two.

Why not have a "Sky One +1" ?

... can't be that difficult, can it ?

Does Sky One Mix have Irish adverts - or is there only one version of it?

It hasn't appeared in the list of channels available on Digiguide yet either.

Sky One Mix has UK adverts.

Interesting though, if you press the red dot while watching Sky One Mix, then select any of the interactive stuff (e.g. the games) the picture that then appears in the quarter screen is the UK version of Sky One and not Sky One Mix or the Irish Sky One.
