    GK:Clemence
DF: Neal, Hanson, Hyppia, an other :p [cant think of his name atm]
    MF: McManaman, Souness, Gerrard, Barnes
    Sk: Dalglish, Rush

    No St. John,
    No Keegan.

Wtf is McManaman doing there I dunno

Gerrard has the potential to be great. Not atm tho.

Keegan is a shock absentee. Drop Mac and push Barnes into the centre and keegan to the wing.

Shame Ian St. John is missing also.

What do the rest of the 'pool fans think?

Would Mark Lawrenson be the missing link per chance?

Its a good team! The problem with Liverpool is all the greats you have to leave out to arrive at a balanced side.

Steve Higheway, Ronnie Whelan, Brucie (yes really) might make my list.

    Mike.

I think hamann should be there instead of gerrard and someone else instead of mcmanaman

Not a liverpool fan but WTF is McMahon and Molby missing from that midfield drop McManaman and Gerrard and stick those 2.

God i loved Steve McMahon pure savage and could pass a ball.

Was Staunton the left back or that guy whos name i cant think off good left back played late 70s early 80s Callaghan or somfin.

    .

Barnes and Beardsley were a great combo.

Too many good defenders to chose from - Nicol, Rob Jonesand Lawro on top of the ones already mentioned.

I wouldn't pick Gerrard in midfield as Houghton, McMahon, Whelan, Hamann, Souness, Heighway and Beardsley were all better.

Up front would have to be Dalglish and Rushie, Owen maybe in a few years.

All this widespread confusion and dumb choices (Hamann, Molby, GERRARD ... eh?)makes me think a lot of yis are just recently reformed ManUre supporters in disguise? :)

Sammy Lee : Ian Callaghan : Graeme Souness : Terry McDermott

I have to say I personally think Bruce Grobbler is the best goally because of his antics in the 84 final against Roma!!!

yes grobbelar was great - in bad south african accent "they said to me try to distract the player so when i saw the net it looked like spaghetti so i made my legs look like spaghetti also "

    can't beat a crazy foreigner

I'd definitely put Jimmy Case in midfield. I'm not a 'pool fan but he was pure class, one of my all time favourite players.

You'd have to put David Fairclough on the bench too! :)

Ah being from Zimbabwai, he would sound like that (they all do!;) )

    Mike.

Brucie was a good keeper, but he was nowhere near Clemence. Ray would never have left if he hadn't got his 14 year old baby-sitter up the pole. He was forced to leave the city of Liverpool.
