I own Three panasonic dsb-31 and all three of them had the new software on Wednesday evening. When I woke up thursday morning my tv-link would not work in the bedroom so I went to investivage what might be the matter. To my surprise I first noticed that my picture settings had changed from 16:9 to 4:3 and from RGB to Pal. Then when I went in to the installers menu I noticed that the second power supply was now turned of and my rf output had changed back to 68 (I usally use 40) Next I checked my software and yes it had reverted back to 3.0.11*.

I called Sky and logged the problems that I was after having and while on the phone I decided to check my other two boxes which by the way I dont leave Plugged in alnight. After plugging them in I went straight to check the software and it was the new software still running, but nof for long. Within a couple on minutes of plugging in the boxes Searching for Listings came up on the screen and next thing I was back to the old software.

The guy on the phone could not understand all this happening, but to be fair to him he kept asking me to inform him what was happening to the second and third boxes. He was a bit worried about the fact that the RF Setting was reset as he was aware that there were many customers who did not use scart to view their Digibox. All as he could tell me was that all Panasonics and Grundigs were being updated yesterday and today and that I was the first person to ring up and log such a complaint.

He left me by saying that he was passing on the problem to another member of staff and also to Panasonic. So I guess we will have to wait and see.

Same thing happened to my Panasonic 40 - Sky said it must be a fault with the box - but several other people have reported this to here and here
