    The VSE timer. Ho hum. This little beauty has just recently been released from <A HREF="http://www.vse.org">here</A&gt;

    Basically it automates the timing of respawns for any and all items in Q2, and also echos the respawn times to your teammates. Not exactly cricket in my opinion. Alot of discussion is going down on the <A HREF="http://www.savageuk.com/">Savage UK Boards</A> about it, the old "its cheating/it isn't" debate. Considering you have to alter your quake2.exe, its cheating fullstop.

    Interesting that this may be, its amazing the lengths clans are willing to go to to win. You have to read <A HREF="http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~yetisalmon/newspro/timer.shtml">THIS article</A>. The clan members involved now face legal action, and rightly so.

    The UKCCL and Savage Council are now considering what to do about this, however, if its non-detectable on the server-side, theres little to stop clans from using it, and many will do this.
