If possible please post up a couple of pics you've taken with it.

here is a shot of my desk at work :)

and here is a shot from my window in the very cool (and in this case very eerie) night mode (this is pitch black - the photo comes out better than I can see)

hope this helps. Best e480 I've ever spent on any single thing :P

The Nokia has by far the best quality camera. I've seen images from all three, and the the other two aren't a patch on the Nokia.

I'll try and post one from the Pansonic GD87 and the Sharp GX10 so you can compare yourselves.

also here is a little video I took with the software from hantro. The max file size is 96k, how long this lasts depends on how much the images in front of your camera are changing on average its a minute for 96k. You can download the app here

you could (in theory) record about 30mins of video with room to spare as well :) although the recorder cuts off at 96k :( ne1 want to write one that doesn't?

*grin* surely 1 minute video is more than enough for your home-made pr0n ;)

Here's a photo a vodafone guy wearing a giant phone on his back took of me - model was the sharp I think.

had to do some testing of the SonyEricsson Communicam MCA-20 (with the T68i) and the Nokia 7650 a while back

    on photo quality:

the T68i's Communicam produced better quality outdoor shots than the 7650 - but the 7650 was (somewhat) better for badly lit indoor shots

the main issue from the results was the 7650 producing a blurring effect towards the corners of the shots

OK, so far all pictures shown here are from a Sharp and a Nokia 7650. All the Vodafone guys would have the Sharps and would be taking pictures at best quality available on the phone.

Just to show you how BAD the Panasonic takes a picture, look at this ...

Taken in pub with the kind of light you tend to get inside a pub.
    Panbadlight.jpg

Taken indoors with pretty good light.
    Pangoodlight.jpg

As you can see not a patch on the other two. But the 7650 is by far the best.

BTW. I'd like to see an example of one taken from a T68i Communicam, now that I've got my Nokia 7210 and Camera Accessory.

    images not working v10 :o

I got my photo taken by that vodafone camera bloke on grafton street a few days ago and saw it online and it was horrible quality. Didnt convince me to get one of their phones at all.

stan...we can be institute SPESHUL buddies :P

I have to admit that I'm impressed by the Nokia 7650's image quality. It's probably the best of the cameraphones on offer by Vodafone Ireland.

I use a Nokia 9210i with a Concord EyeQ camera when shooting around town. Most of the images on my blog are from that camera. But carrying around both a camera and a Communicator isn't as cool as having a 7650. And unless you need to carry something to swing around when warding off late night street pests, the 9210i is just going to be a 244g brick in your pocket.

I can recommend photobox for printing of images. They're quick and they do well with images weighing at least 35k. I spent EUR 11 to get these images from a 30th birthday printed and posted to me within four days of uploading them to the site.

I talked the MD and he's interested in making Photobox into an MMS zone so you could MMS your images into your personal space for online review.
