TV Link on the blink

My TV-link has gone on the blink after about 18 months of perfect service. The remote is fine and the output of the digibox is OK. It is only the remote-relay that is kaput.

I have looked at the device and the red LED that used to light up no longer does. I fiddled with the wire and I got it to work for about 10 minutes. Then it died again.

Are there any user serviceable parts here, or should I buy another?

    Mark.

Check that all the inner wires are making contact on the Coax.

It gets 9V DC via the aerial outlet on the Digibox.

A bad inner wire connection won't affect picture (usually), but will stop the 9V getting through.

There are only Service Engineer servicable parts (and very few of them).

Bad connection is most common problem, other is sometimes the Digibox might turn off the 9V.
Services 4 0 1 Select and RF outlet power: Turn it off, then turn it on, if checking all the connections don't work.

The coax, between inner and outer ought to make a christmas mini lamp glow. "Shorting" the inner wire and outer may make the digibox turn it off. Avoid shorts. Make sure one fine strand of outer is not intermittatly shorting to inner wire or pin.
