Forgotten which thread this was in:
Anyways, just now working here are the two ITV2 FTA:

    Service ID 10250
    Video PID 2325
    Audio PID 2326
    And
    Service ID 10260
    Video PID 2329
    Audio PID 2330

    F 10.905
    SR 22,000
    FEC 5/6

No label for these two channels appears on a "Scan". The Transponder has the "normal" ITV2, Ulster, Scotish, Grampian, and Channel Is.

This is probably like asking how long is a piece of string, but here goes.

Why FTA? Doesn't compute with the status of the ITV1 stations.

    Has there been outages?

In other words, being disinclined to take out a UK Sky sub, is it worth my while getting a relatively cheap FTA box to access it?

Not sure why they're fta but they're unlabelled tests. They've been available for over a month now i think but they could go off at any time.

    I have a Manahattan 5000 receiver. Although I find ITV2 at 10905 V 22000, it doesn't seem to be FTA.

Is it still accessible to others?

I can see it no problem on my Manhattan 2500 but you manually have to give in the Video,Audio and PCR PIDS.

I can get it on my Manhattan Skyline. The ITV2 you see is the encrypted one. The other 2 feeds are not labelled and this is why theyre not listed. You need to do it manually and you'll get a channel "Unnamed"

I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is possible to recieve ITV2 on a Nokia 9800. If so can you explain to me how I can recieve it as I have got a loan of this box to play around with for a few weeks.

    Many thanks in advance.

I don't think it is a good idea to get a FTA box on basis of a "test" that can vanish any moment.

If you want lots of specialist stations from different Satellites or want to record Classics TV / BBC World TV / TCM etc direct on PC than get a PC card Satellite receiver (Satellite digital recording = 500MByte = 1/2 hr, Analog capture via TV card at less quality is 500Mbyte a MINUTE!).
There are also FTA receivers with hard disks.
Or just to watch lots of stuff a FTA receiver. You get everything on Digibox with NO card, on a FTA receiver. Lots of foriegn and specialist stuff (inc in English, and some stations free that are PAY on Sky) on Hotbird 13E and Astra 19E.
    Other possible "birds" are:
Thor 1W. Some FTA for Scandinavia
Hispasat 30W. Some FTA for Spain
Telstar 12 at 15W. Some US feeds to Europe, inc MSNBC in NTSC.
Telecom. French Analog SECAM. (need Analog receiver and SECAM TV).
    www.lyngsat.com
    Categories are:
    1) Ku Band Digital DVBs (Normal Digital for FTA or Pay TV reception). TV and Radio on PC or Set-top box. PC only for Data transmissions.
    2) Ku Band MPEG4: Needs a PC based DVBs card like Hauppage Nexus-s or WinTV DVBs PCI. Mostly subscription
    3) Ku Band Analog in PAL, NTSC or SECAM. Needs Analog Receiver.
    4) Ku Band Hybrid Digital: D2MAC, can work with a dedicated receiver or some Analog receivers will feed a D2MAC receiver /decoder. Almost all gone.
    5) C-Band analog and digital. Needs a special LNB. Needs a VERY big dish. Mostly for feeding Cable heads or "feeds" No "Direct to Home Transmission"

For (1) any Digital Satellite Receiver or good Satellite PC card.
For (2) only a Digital Satellite PC card works.

The Digibox is VERY limited in recieving (1) as it has pooor Audio Selection and only SR27000 and SR22000. SR can be from 2,000 to 40,000.

Many different encryption systems exist. The one used on Sky is ONLY on Digibox. No other encryption "CAM" can be used on Digibox.

Buy a FTA digital reciever with a socket for "CAM" (called CI = common Interface). Some recievers have Irdeto, Seca or Via-access built in. These might get obsolete as providers change to new systems like Seca-2.

You won't easily get a CAM for PowerVu as it is used mosly for Broadcaster "feeds".

The Sky system is called "videoguard", ("videocrypt" was the old analog one). No "videoguard" CAM is availaibe. It is built in to Digibox.

For people with UK FTV cards, ITV2 is currently viewable on 10906V, 22000, 5/6.

It's on the G54 ident, which up until recently was showing one of the other ITV1 channels.
