my brothers crafted a snow car and igloo in my back garden for me.
    would have been 1985.

It is so lonely here in my indecipherable tower of speech impedimency

I remember the first time I seen my sister - November 1980 when I was 3 and a half.

about 10 Months old, and i can still vividly recall the incident......

-(some details i know from remembering, and
some i know from being told the full story
years later while asking my parents why i
was the only family member who was never
    given swimming lessons)

my two oldest brothers were left in charge
of me while we were on holiday one year.
the family was in the picnis area beside a
small lake. beside the picnic area it was
all rocks and to get to the beach area and
then into the lake, u had to walk around the
    small out-jut of rocks

anyway my brothers were called for sambos
and tea, 'accidentally' leaving me in a foot
and a half of water; where i remained for i
have no idea how long, before my father
realised i was no longer with them, could
not see me on da beach, and so ran staight
across the rocks (breaking 2 ankle bones in
the process -- yet still managing to get to
    the water --)
and picked me up out of the water.

and to this day i can still clearly recall,
looking up from the lake-bed, through the
water, and watching my father pick me up
    out of the water.

    hmmmm....
    and thats my story... smile.gif

its also why decades later, i still cant swim

    ah well, f**k it smile.gif

    That's a really sad story Wyverne frown.gif

My earliest memory is of going to see my brother (Zapper) just after he was born. He "brought" me a red umbrella with him. Well, I was only 2. smile.gif

I was there the other day and I was trying to remember(for no particular reason) what my earliest childhood memory was.

After a while I came up with something like...a primary school birthday party..or a holiday where I ended up falling and cutting my knees ..or something..

    anyway....anyone got any interesting memories?

I remember playing with my dad once when I was about 2 years old and kinda slipping and nearly getting my arm broken. The whole ordeal of going to the hospital and getting X-Rays and all the rest. It's still really vivid.

Also there was a doctor staying in our house at the time who was a very close friend of the family's and he sorted out all the hospital end of it (he was doing his casualty stint at the time). Sad thing is, he was killed after skidding on black ice this Christmas, so it was cool that the guy was in my first memory too.

    All the best,

1: Being dropped by a so called loved one, out of a speedboat after hitting a bit of swell .. then being rescued.

2: Being rescued from a car which had rolled into the river when my sister accidentally took of the handbrake while a so called responsible loved one was fishing near by.

The first one when i was 3, the next one when i was 4.

Strange but i dont rememeber anything else till about 7 or whenever school started ... the 6's were just a blur.

ps- True point though about how a story you've heard about the event blends with a vague memeory to give what seems like a solid memory eventually.

I stuck a knife something in the wall socket in the kitchen. Still have the (deformed) knife at home, the tip is all bent. smile.gif
