Idea stolen from the recent "50 places to see before you die" on BBC
On the show itself the top 3 were:
    3.Disney World (I think)
    2.The Great Barrier Reef
    1.The Grand Canyon

Personnaly Id give my vote to Saint Peters Basillica in the Vatican (The only thing Ive ever seen that literally made my jaw drop).
Go there if you want to see the most tranquil place on the planet and the best example of sheer concentrated wealth:)

    So whats yours?

^^^ me and the lads went round for a look as well, they're not too bad at all but I've seen better,

Personally the Lake district in the north of Italy was so far the most visually impressive place I've been to, around Lake Garda, Como, and Maggiore, have some great photos with the Alps rising up in the background,,
a pity to see Disney world in the top 3, I'm sure its a good holiday but its hardly a place I have to see bfore I die compared to others on that top 50

Yeah I had a good look myself. Nothin to write home about.

I'd like to see the great barrier reef and the grand canyone. About the best I've seen so far was the twin towers - statue of liberty.

The view from inside the tube at Teahupoo (this wave: http://content.surfline.com/sw/content/surfaz/teahupoo.jsp )
That or Pipeline, either one would do me :p

Hey enygma you surf eh? That's cool I did not think there were any other surfers that posted on here. But seriously Teahupoo is perhaps out of your league.

As for cool sites standing atop the Eiffel Tower and looking out at Paris is pretty fantastic, especially if you do it with your girlfriend/boyfriend.

Summer bay must be the best place pn Earth, nobody who goes there ever wants to leave and anybody who does leave nearly always has to come back, unless they're dead of course in which case they do not always have to come back.

Quote-"Mine would have to be my girlfriends breasts!!!"

Reminds me of a question on one of those online How Skanger Are You surveys?

"What is your ultimate ambition in life to fulfill before you die?"
A-To own a large renovated castle with horses and well kept gardens in the Wicklow countryside
    B-To royde Sharon

i dunno, hard to say, you can find beauty in the most ordinary things. ive seen some pretty cool stuff, even just in ireland and scotland. but when i was in australia, we went canoeing down this river through a sub-tropical jungle, it was absolutely amazing, the foliage, the wildlife...

ooh time to break out the holiday photies...:)

    [Paddy]How was that canyon Mick?
    [Mick]Ah, sure it was grand.

They should call it the super-duper canyon or something. I also don't get why the Yanks are so proud of it - it's not like they built it themselves. And if they did, they would have gotten us to do it!

Victoria Falls just after the raining season, viewed from the Knife Edge bridge while being doused in spray.

Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe, looking out onto the plains from a plateau watching elephants and giraffe stroll past.

Most beautiful place Ive ever witnessed first hand would have to be from the cliffs of Tulum in Cancun,
overlooking the reef. Words and photos cants describe tbh

I think its the second biggest reef in the southern hemisphere... second comes right after first.. ;)

My two places Id love to see again before I die are

1.The scuba diving in the Red Sea-Israeli side.Water is clear to about 20 metres and teeming with life.Supposedly better that the Great Barrier Reef.

2.The view in the Jordanian desert about 20 miles in from a height of 1000m above sea level on your way to a place called the Messada junction which is in tur on your way to the Dead Sea(Another stunning sight in itself). No sign of civilisation only one jet black road snaking into the distance against a backdrop of pure golden sand and dunes. The sky is so blue against the contrast of the sand.Absolutely stunning. The temperature is 50 degrees centigrade and even breathing in that is difficult.Ill post a pic if I can find them when I get home.

Best thing I've seen (so far) would have to be the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Pretty cool when you're used to seeing Liberty Hall everyday :)

and you have everything in such a small area. a quaint little coastal town (summer bay), nice big business district for all your shopping and entertainment needs (yabby creek), and of course, theres always 'the city'....

for me though, id have wanted to visit the WTC towers, but sadly thats off my list now, also i want to see the great pyramids at giza, the australian outback and tokyo.
