A work by Alan Moore. Really enjoyed this. Wonderfully drawn by Kevin O'Neill, engaging if weird characters, and a lightly subversive look on the Empire that was Britain's.

Yup. Never saw the individual issues of the second series - just got the two-in-one copy. In fact, that was the same with the first series I think. Why is this? Is it a deliberate ploy by the publishers? Do they wait to see if the first issues sell before reprinting them both?

The irritating part is that there seems to have been an extra text story included in the individual issues which is not in the double. I think this because the annotation site on the web also annotates this other part - looks bizarre, tons of references to obscure victoriana.

Has anyone seen the single issues? What is this extr a part?
