I'll be getting hold of ....
    Wiz 'n' liz
    IK+
    grabbing BASS from my desktop
Gobliins series good yes? never played any of them
    Another world
    Flashback
    lazer squad
    Worms
    SleepWalker
The settlers (I actually still have the box for this one:) )
    Rick Dangerous
Rick Dangerous II Although i'd imagine they're the same as the C64 versions;)
Dogfight (I remember playing this one. It was released by Virgin non? )
I'm also going the grab a copy of Body blows from Team 17. If I remember correctly it was a damn good fighter. I've also downloaded a beat em up called Shadow Fighter (4 Disks) thats excellent, not sure if it was released or not.
I'm looking for a game called "Guy Spy" I think it was a good
game but my memories a little sketchy anyone played it?
Wouldn't it be nice if WinUAE supported zips....

[Edit] Wasn't Oh No more Lemmings simply a one disk version of Lemmings released with the A600?[edit]

Gobliins, very very very odd games. French people made them so that explaines that.

No interest in Oxyd or Ork?

ork a classic in the shadow of the beast mould and oxyd one of the most prolific peices of shareware ever made. it was on the amiga, an amiga aga version, atari st, atari falcon, pc and mac.

rick dangerous better graphics obviously. 2 wasnt as good as 1.

worms is slooooooow. not really worth it.

guy spy, had it on the st. was ok. loads of different style levels. sky diving, driving scuba diving and your bog standard platform action.

Oh No! More Lemmings was an standalone expansion for lemmings.

i wouldnt recomend putting any of them online as amiga sites are still shut down as much as n64 and gba sites.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,751 ✭✭✭Ste-

not played it buit ive been told monkey island was a good play.

id be interested if you put them onlin logie ;)

Fair enough, I've seen it for download loads of times but never bothered downloading it, however I will now. I probably wouldn't put the roms online for all to see and I'd be small time in comparison to all of the other Amiga adf sites out there:). I don't think anyone is as eager to shut down sites as nintendo:) but you'll actually find loads of Amiga roms at abandonware sites theses days eg http://www.bhlegend.com/php/show.php3
( Kairo, Ronan|Raven Remove if you feel it's necessary but the underdogs has been thrown about a few times:) )

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,277 ✭✭✭DiscoStu

the thing with bhlegend is they were visited by the helpful folks at the idsa and all protected stuff was taken down. as far as i know that also included amiga stuff. as for the rest it would be safe to assume that the publishers dont mind anymore.

What about 'trolls' for the A1200 ?? That was a gorgeous looking game, and I think it was the first one I ever completed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,277 ✭✭✭DiscoStu

there was one i used about 2 years ago called "the classic fun" (germans and their wacky names) it was great hundreds of games with screenshots and reviews of every single on of them it was shut down.

Downloaded the above and the excellent "Gods" which I had forgotten! Never played trolls but I think I remember reading a review in Amiga Format that it was good. Letal weapon is another classic I've added

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,042 ✭✭✭spooky donkey

OK logie im not impressed with some of youre exceptions so im gona let you have em now!

Lotus turbo challange 1 the first and best!

Also i loved those psygnosis games for their music. You know way back in my school days a friend let me listen to a tape of amiga music and right there and then i decided i had to have an amiga and i did ! a few of them as it happens!

SO i think you shoule add shaddow of the beast 1 and 2 and agony. Agony the best amiga mod track ever, screw cannon fodder it was good had singin and all but doesent compare to agony!

Oh and where is pinball dreams/fantasies i still play them too! Clasic.

let me know when u have it all complete. cause that i wana see!

Wouldn't it be nice if WinUAE supported zips....

it does. put your adf file in a zip and change the extension to adz.

newer versions use the zlib.dll file. older ones use something like gzip for uncompression.

    http://www.angusm.demon.co.uk/AGDB/DBM1/SadHuss.html

The Sadaam Hussein game anyone? :)

But seriously, Shadow of the Beast was a great game and deserves to be on the list. UFO Enemy Unkown was also a classic.

I like the APB port, bar the arcade version it was the best :)

Ashes of Empire might also be worth checking out.

It's good to see you included Oil Imperium too, that was one of my all time favourites, it was way ahead of it's time.

Blah, it's been ages since i've played Amiga games, anyone know of a link where i can download an emulator, kickstarts and a couple of games?

: James Pond II - Robocod
    the ubiquitous
    : Lionheart
    : IK+

Turrican 2 <<== by far the best.

Does anyone remember a game called Hunter? A 3D spy game where you could use any vehicle you found even parachutes. Mines, trip wires, rockets, flares, medic kits, gun boats, time bombs .........God I loved that game.
Its around as a ROM too, used to have but that was many formats ago.

I love this game and still play it! (Why isn't on my list:confused:)Attack Helicopters,Tanks, cars, Lorrys , Hovercraft, speed boats ,gunboats, Bicycle , surfboard!! could all be used to travel around. Its still around but use kick1.3 with WinUAE if you want it to work:)
If I remember Agony it was the one with the Owl yes?? Personally I didn't like it that much when I first tried it but I'll take another look and see if it's worth adding to my collection. Will be adding SOTB I&II and your coect APB was good on the Amiga but I won't be adding it ;)
Fould myself a copy of Vroom which is an excellent Racing game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,042 ✭✭✭spooky donkey

Yeah Agoly great sound and graphics. Standard game play though!
and it took for ever to load!

it was a work of art though!
i think i have it for win uae. but it ran in a smaller window to suport all the levels of parallex scroling!

Oh for the days whan i got excited by parallex scrooling!

    anyone ever play Bloodwych??

the only D&D type game i ever managed to complete. had a torrid love-hate relationship withthe game.
the one brilliant thing about the game was you could play it in two player split screen mode. many a weekend was spent sitting infront of the tv screen with a mate of mine and the two of us hammering away at the key board. Great craic, especially when we used attack each other in order to get at hold of a specific weapon or armour or magic ring and then a load of monsters would come around the corner and join in... oh the memories, 1st multiplayer game i got addicted to. sniff!
    :)

Did any1 play the platfrom games Leander and Harlequin? Both look class and sounded great and had gameplay to match in my opinion. I have Leander on winuae but it dont work correctly, u can move around levs but your character cant hit anything?? As far Harlequin, i is still looking. They're worth d/ling if u ever se them.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 2,975 Mod ✭✭✭✭LoGiE

Leander HMMmm... Shadow of the beast a hoi hoi! still a very enjoyable game (if you like that sort of thing) Harlequin wasn't bad either I played it on my old amiga for a day or two and have since picked it up while "Collecting" all the games I used to own (and really would have liked to own:) ). Strange thing about this game is it hasn't been released into the public domain like most of Gremlin graphics old titles. That isn't to say it's not impossible to get;)
