After Mega-lo-mania was released on the Amiga, was there a sequel afterwards? I think I remember preview reports, rumours or ideas on this. It would have been hard to think of where a potential sequel could have continued from anyway.

easy logie, twas just a quick look at mobygames to see what they had not a thesis on the early works of british software houses :)

just to get on that anally retentive vibe :)

you forgot the special edition demo of sensible soccer that came on the easter 1993 edition of ST Action where the players were apples and oranges(i kid ye not) if you done a realy high lob a bananna appeared on the pitch and tripped up the player who was dumb enough to walk over it.

There were also 2 sensible soccer versions on the st v1.0 and v1.1 not a patch so to speak because they were unheard of in those days. it changed some player names and added a whole load of cheats.

one last thing, Cannon Fodder didnt hit the Atari ST until around april/may 1994.

    LOL:D
My apologies for alleged anally retentive vibe in last post:)
I just downloaded the excellent Sensible Golf. Why this game has been overlooked I'll never know...
To go off topic slighty, what emu are you usin for the ST?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,277 ✭✭✭DiscoStu

steem. its great, save states, patches for stuff that wont work(something like 20 PD demos) and the ability to overclock the atari st - 128mhz here we come(faster that a pentium sonny).

shoot em up construction kit was also on the ST, i bought it the last time i was in london, september 1993, so many years ago.........

What did you think of SEUCK on the ST? It was excellent on the C64 but I think they did a balls of it on the Amiga. Poor conversion. It didn't even carry across all the options, ie bitmaps that formed non-passable areas... let's say for an Iraki Warriors clone for example. Over clocking the ST, sounds like fun...

Yeah It was a total fúck up on the Amiga. A real pity cause it should have been one of games ever released for the Amiga.
Why don't you track down a copy for the ST on the net and use the emu DiscoStu suggested:)

As DiscoStu reminded me, I left out some of the Special Editions of Sensible Soccer. Since I'm back adding Amiga Games to my collection I thought I'd grab these and I must say thery're very entertaining:) My favorite is "Cannon Soccer" with it's hand grenade football and gore;) but UnSensible Soccer (The Game DiscoStu mentions is also good)
*Kairo, Ronan|Raven These games where all available on Magazine coverdisks and as far as I'm aware are freely available to download*
Click For: Sensible Moon Soccer (Amiga)

Click For: Sensible Cannon Soccer (Amiga)

    Click For: UnSensible Soccer (Amiga)

Click For: UnSensible Soccer (Atari ST)

You will need to download WinUAE for Amiga Emulation
and Steem for Atari ST Emulation

Where did you dig up UnSensibe Soccer? the disk i have it on dosent work.

hamster found an answer to your original question:D
Mega-lo-maina II was planned, and started, shortly after the success of the original. No details are known about this game, because it was scrapped when Sensible Software decided to concentrate their efforts on a certain Sensible Soccer;) which would go on to be Sensi's bread and butter for the next few years..
    Here's a screen shot (Yes I know it's a Shíte one)

I'll presume you mean the ST version:) It was on a coverdisk site and was pretty easy to find. The Amiga version was not so easy but they're both identical I think.

    Cheers LoGiE,

I will sleep more soundly now that "itch" has been sorted. Always wondered about that. A 3D-ish Mega-lo-mania. Hmm. :p

No problem hamster:) It was the least I could do after hijacking the thread and posting all that sensible software stuff;)
