Tom Clancy's Raven Shield multiplayer demo problems

finally got the multiplayer demo. However, when i go to set up a lan server (just to get a feel for the game and mess about) the UCC thing comes up and lots of commands and stuff but when it get to game engine initiliazed, it stops and won't go any further. any suggestions?
