They just showed a preview of Dirty Sanchez on MTV.
It's the new, English version of Jackass.
And it's terrible. Absolutely terrible.
Apart from lame 'stunts' (flicking a rubber band at your head isn't a stunt, no matter how many camera angles you record it from), the people are just completely devoid of any personality whatsoever. They spent the first ten minutes of the show basically going "Yeah, we're made, us. You won't find any people more crazy than us".
To complete the package, one of them has an incredibly annoying laugh, that makes you want to write to the top scientists, and tell them to drop whatever they're doing, curing world hunger or whatever, and invest all their energies into inventing some button for your remote to make sure he never appears on your TV ever again.

Anyone else catch this?

It seems mad how Mtv are showing this when Jackass seems to be doing well. The stunts do seem very lame compared to Jackass but that's only because we are used to them. If Dirty Sanchez came out before Jackass it would've been fun but I doubt I'll watch it now.

That's a good temporary solution.
But what happens if I'm idly flicking through the stations, and this no-talent assclown appears on my screen? Or your screen? What if, at that very minute, your "channel change" button fails you? We must take action to prevent this right now.

Any scientists out there that are reading this thread: we need this technology that will allow us to make sure these people do not appear on our TVs again. Make it happen, I beg of you.

Garth, could you please do me a favour, before you reply again? Read what is actually written, instead of just what you think is written? It will greatly speed up this whole process, and actually give me a challenge in demolishing whatever argument you bring to the table. Thanks.

Yes, it's an English rip-off - but this is not what we are complaining about. Jackass is a wonderful, simple idea, and maybe it would be nice to have a regionalised version of it, to help people relate to it ("Hey! I know that place!"). However, the show is not simply about putting any guy in front of a camera, and kicking them in the head for 30 minutes. If you notice - pretty much everyone on Jackass has a strong personality. You think - "Hey, those guys are pretty funny". That way, when they get covered in ****, you laugh even more.

Now - this seems to have escaped the makers of Dirty Sanchez. I firmly believe that they scoured the hills and valleys of Wales, searching for the people most devoid of personality. I really wouldn't care if any of the Dirty Sanchez guys died doing a stunt (and it really doesn't look like I'll get my wish, when their stunts are shooting each other with hoses, and snapping elastic bands into their heads - not much chance of death there).

Jackass is a simple formula, and the Dirty Sanchez guys blew it, simple as that.

That is what we're complaining about.

It could be a Russian rip-off for all I care, Its still crap, I dont think its country of origin has anything to do with peoples opinion of it being brutally lame.

sky digital has a programm blockng function for po*r etc, could it be used against this piece of crap

i think some of the dirty sanchez stunts are good! jumping totally naked into a huge bush of nettles! nailing a guys penis to a block of wood.hammering tacks into a guys forehead.its painful!

Im not a watcher of either of those show's but the dirty sanchez stunts seem way more extreme than the jackass stunts.

They are more extreme, but the Jackass guys have *some* charm. Either way, they're all stupid ****ers.

What I find funny is that at the start of Jackass, MTV announce that this shouldn't be tried at home, don't make a tape of yourself doing this stuff, we won't accept any submissions, we won't even look at them. Yeah, so how did Dirty Sanchez get on air then?

well Jackass does come from the States which is really strict when it comes to things like Jackass going out on a channel like MTV. if it was made by HBO or Showtime it would have been a lot better. in the UK it is much more relaxed

dirty sanchez is as good as jackass, if you bothered to take the time to watch both shows you would see that, and if you find jackass funny dirty sanchez is similar, and not as much of a copy of jackass as you mite think
