Try Fire, it's all right but not as good as mircle or smirc or smirky bugger whatever it's called.

I use fire for general chatting

Ahh yes Ircle is available for OSX, go for that one Jimmy!

Fire isn't bad for a songlomorate program combining irc, icq, msn and some others but not great for irc.
