    Hmmm 3- 0 down at half time,could be 3- 2 but no excuses Basle deserve the lead and for what looks like a victory.
    Gerrard and Hamann are getting run over out there, we need width why not try Heskey wide right?
    Anyways i doubt if the reds can score 3 goals never mind 4?
    Fingers crossed for a miracle.

    Poor old Liverpool. My best mate a pool fan was working so he asked me to text him the scores. He rang me after 40 minutes to tell me to stop messing around. He couldn't believe that they went 3 - 0 down.

    After the 2 goals went in during the 2nd half I actually expected them to win the game and I feel sorry for them because I felt they were good enough to progress. I think they will do well in the UEFA cup.

    And at least the Gunners are through :)

    Unlucky in the end but no excuses really.
    LFC paid for not beating either Valencia or Basle at home.
    Should do well in Uefa cup .
    Id like to see Arsenal win CL out and i think they are well equipped to do it once they get over their little blip,i still say the Gunners are the best team in Britain.
    Ill keep my fingers crossed for you Gandalf and Arsenal fans
    Pity the pool are out tho..:(

    I agree Arsenal are the best team in Britain but I think United are better equipped to do well in Europe. Arsenal still have not got past the quarters, and have only got there once in recent years. It is a pity because I think they are a great team who play an excellent style of football.
