ok ok i know this was up before but it was a poll last time and there werent that many choices.

so to start it off i reckon MASH was one of the best, i know there have been better but other people will mention them.
it had the best one liners one television, and often came blindingly quick so that if you were laughing too much (and i usually was) youd miss a few of them.

it was a classic and i love it

Seinfeld absolutely brilliant will never be surpassed, hilarious storylines that could be cunningly linked into a whole. Best British sitcom Only Fools and Horses.:)

Father Ted, Fawlty Towers, Only Fools and Horses, Friends (but only 2 or 3 of the early seasons), Cheers, Frasier.

    Does Family Guy count? :)

I think That 70's Show is brilliant, not too sure what to make of the new That 80's Show though.

Only Fools and Horses wins hands down-there are just so many classic moments from that show. There is such a huge amount of classic quotes. Heres a few that spring to mind as some of the best

Dels French phrases, which were shown up at their worst on these occasions
After finishing dinner he says to his girlfriend”Mmm,that food was absoloutely delicious .Pas De Calais as the French chefs would say”(Pas de Calais=Port of Calais)
Upon finding out Rodney has bought a huge amount of sun cream to sell at the market in the depths of an icy winter
“MEANAGE A TROIS RODDERS!”(Do I REALLY have to tell you what that means?)
When he finds out on holiday in Florida that the mafia are planning to kill him
“Bloody hell, the mobs trying to kill me.Fromage fray!”(which is a term to do with yoghurt)
The boys are trying to impress a girl and are trying to outdo each other.
Del-Yeah,I used to be in the army.Fought with the parachute regiment but I had to give it up after I had a bad accident
Girl-Don’t you have to be tall to be in the army?
Rodney-Well he was,but as he says he had a bad accident.
Grandad gets arrested while he and the boys are on holiday in Spain. He doesn’t know what for but suspects it could have something to do with the fact he and a friend were deported during the Spanish civil war for gun running and ordered never to enter Spain again. The long story encompasses a few good lines including
Rodney-So let me get this straight. You and your pal were gun running in the middle of a civil war?!!?
Grandad-Well it’s the best time to do it Rodney.
Delboy attempts to sum up the facts
“Do you realise how much trouble your in?Your most probably on Spains most wanted list between Carlos the Jackal and the Black November!”
    Rodney-September Del.
    Del-Eh?
    Rodney-Its September-the Black September.
Del-Our granddad could spend the rest of his life in pison and all you want to do is discuss the signs of the bleedin zodiac!
When their long lost dad comes home at Christmas claiming to be dying
Del-Its typical of our luck Rodney. The virgin mary got baby Jesus, gold, frankensense and other nice stuff at Christmas. And what do we get?All we got was a wally with a disease.
    :D:D

Apart from OFAH Father Ted was class, along with the Royle Family.

I think that last post from gopher can be deemed "projectile typing." :)

Nice one, though, OFAH is brilliant....

Men Behaving Badly, Game On, OFAH, Steptoe & Son, Fawlty Towers, Ab Fab, Father Ted,

The BBC are unrivalled at making good comedies IMO.

Does anyone remember the name of the RTE sitcom where a Dublin family win lottery or something and move to posh area of Dublin (Belvedere I think). Was crap but it's the only Irish sitcom that comes to mind at present.

Only Fools And Horses, Red Dwarf, Father Ted and Faulty Towers and The Royle Family.

Only Fools win hands down though.
