Was Ozzfest just a once off or can we look forward to another next summer?

I heard/read somewhere that there will be no more Ozzfest anywhere because of Sharon Osbourne having cancer. I'd doubt if Ozzy will be playing any 'Fests next year anyway.

who knows? maybe some new "fest" might become the new ozzfest (another run of Tatoo the Planet maybe?)

The promoters lost £65,000 on Tattoo the Planet. I'd very much doubt it. I hope they do come back though. I'd doubt if they'll book Pantera or Sepultura next time though.

Pantera should be coming here next year, they usually take a few support bands with them so it would be like a 'Fest. I hope they get someone like In Flames to support them, along with Satyricon and Soilent Green. Phil gets on well with the latter two, so I'd say they'd be in there somewhere.

As brilliant as that would be, I very much doubt it :)

You know what time they may be coming here next year?

Probably Autumn or Winter Pugsley. Whenever the new CD is released a tour should follow. I'd say Pantera will come here anyway, they were here the last time weren't they and they had to go back to the US cos they couldn't reschedule.

well i would like to see ozzfest come back but you have to think if the people would like it. i mean that alot of people went to see ozzy and he did not show up. are people willing to be dissapointed again if it does come.
    just think about it.

i was really looking forward to seeing ozzy but as much as i was disappointed i had a great day! seeing therapy?, slayer, SOAD and tool all in a row (well almost) was amazing!

i hope whatever happens we get to see some good bands at a good festival again next year whether it be called ozzfest or not!

it'd be cool if there was a phil anselmo fest...

    pantera
    down
    superjoint ritual
necrophagia (phil could rejoin for this)
    southern isolation

as long as there was some kind of large rock/metel fest, thats at least a day long!

pantara would be great,as would cradle of filth,or disturbed.

I'd love to see Soulfly and Deftones.

I thought Pantera had split up? If not, then bring them tto Ireland ASAP so I can destroy myself and those around me in that pit! :D

    probably gonna get slated but,

Metallica's new album, which i am cautiously waiting for, is out next year. If tradition holds (not that it'll be crap) a world tour will follow.

Pantera would be sweet. Real kick in the stones when they didnt show up for Tattoo, but were in the country. Bigger kick (size twelve New Rock's) when Sepultura didnt show. At least Slayer kicked ass.

I agree, it was a great day out, Slayer ruled as per usual, and System were really good.

Hey, the new System album (Steal This Album) is out soon, possible tour to follow??
