We had a ball last night playing with the lads (me and bunny versus Dr.Teeth and Eldhas (?) )

Lots of tribes and Q2 being played and I talked to the owners (who are a mad gamers themselves) and they say that they will support us in anything we try and they have a few plans for lan gaming themselves.

SC was fun and for once I won (twice!). Me and bunny played Teeth (who seemed more used to a leisurely pace and BIG maps) and Eldhas who was the most impressive turtler I have EVER seen .

First game I rushed and took Teeth by surprise, kept the pressure on him while Bunny prepared a force of Zealots and waltzed in. Poor old Teeth got nary a marine from his teammate who we found bunkered-in in a corner. Siege engines, bunkers, turrets etc.
I just nipped round the back and found an open door. Bye bye peons, but his siege engines finished much if my force off and when I got back up there he'd plugged the hole. Bunny did a reaver drop only to be annihilated by a siege engine he hadnt seen.
I got a message from bunny saying "Right. I'm going to build zealots. I'll be back in 5 mins." So I kept him occupied with fliers for a while until suddenly the computer started to slow down as a tidal wave of yellow zealots poured past my forces and straight into the terran base. Ooops.

Second game was much longer (being on The Hunters) but essentially I knew we had it when I discovered turtle-boy had blocked off the entrance to his base with three bunkers.
bunny and I took 5 of the 8 mineral dumps and built and built. Eventually we got bored and I attempted to plague the bunkers but got sieged out of it. Right, terran boy thinks hes safe eh? It took about 3 minutes.
Battlecruisers fell to Psychic storms and plagues (ever see one mutie kill three BCs with one shot. Bounce bounce bounce).
There wasnt much teeth could do either having only had one vespin geyser all game.
The final insult was me chasing Eldhas command centre around with 12 muties and a queen with him swearing I wouldnt infest it.
I caught up with it while it was flying up to teeth and infested it midair!!! I didnt know you could do that! Things that make you go *boom*!

Y'all should come down its a dead cool atmosphere (order chinese from next door and bring it in and eat it there etc).

Yeah GG's indeed.. I've only played Starcraft in pretty much the same way - large maps, with lots of people, so everyone pretty much only gets one extra expansion for free until the mid-game when the real fighting starts - lots of BC fleets, nukes, carrier squadrons + arbiters, flocks of guardians etc.

The first map was scary-small, Dev had 6 glings on me before I had a single Zealot up - ouch, then Bunny + Dev finished me off with glings and zealots with Ehldas dug in - git.

The second game was baaaaad - I play Hunters a lot, but always with 8 players - usually 6 people and AIs to pad it out, so out of habit I didn't go for the expansions until it was too late and every single vespene either had one of Ehldas's mines on it, was had a ****load of Bunny's Goons around it. Bah, I'll be back!

I wish we'd gotten more people to play Tribes though, myself and Ehldas were the only serious players there..

Why don't any of you play on the net?
I actually OWN the full version...no warez version here...but you can get a key generator so you can play on battle.net.
Trust me......you're all muppets till you've played on battlenet. The REAL psychos are there. And you just DONT know what a Zerg rush is either....

Ah, I'm just not into it enough to spend hours online on B.net - I've played there a few times and it was fun alright, but nothing compared to playing Tribes.

Reaper, I've played on B.N quite a bit but I HATE the spas on it. All they do is spam and spam and if you get a game and you start winning they just disconnect etc.
Plus the server is rife with cheats and hacks .
We might be able to get our own Battle.Net server up and running local here, but that kinda defeats the purpose of playing internationally but to be frank I dont trust johnny foreigner and I dont like the B.Ners much either.
