    The Rory Gallagher Lecture - Sunday 10th Nov 4PM
    Arts Fest pays tribute each year to Rory Gallagher through a commemorative lecture. This year, Marcus Connaughton( was supposed to be Tom Dunne), renowned broadcaster and blues authority will deliver the annual Rory Gallagher Lecture on Sunday 10th November at 4:00pm in the Spailpín Fánach, South Main St. . The lecture will focus on the lyrics of many of Rory’s songs and examine their relevance at the time writing and today. A concert featuring STAGESTRUCK, a young, Cork blues band who are rapidly making a name for themselves, will follow the lecture.

    And during the Artsfest the Gallagher tribute band Brute Force and Ignorance are playing 2 concerts. One free in the CIT and another in the Spailpín Fánach. The dates and times are at:
