the missus bought me a classic album the other day. one that has been absent from my megre collection for the past few years and it has yet to leave the car cd player.

    ac/dc's back in black.

possibly one of the all time best rock n roll albums ever (thats rock n roll as in rock, and not as in buddy holly!)

what album just blows your skirt up so much that when you put it on, you turn it up and sing out loud and you get goosebumps down your spine and your hair stands on end???

back in black, i hit the sack,
i been too long im glad to be back.........

    play it fúckin loud man!

I have to agree with you there fully. Fúckin hell I love that album. I listen to it every morning on my way to college and I'm tellin ya, it makes getting up worth while. You cant have a favorite song on that damn album. They're just all so good.

Another classic album that makes the hair stand on the back of my neck as you say is, Led Zeppelin 4. With songs like Black Dog and Stairway to Heaven on it where can you go wrong. Another is Live and Dangerous by Thin Lizzy. There are just so many you could mention after that!

I have to mention In Flames' "Jester Race", "Whoracle", and "Colony" in here cos those albums really do make the hairs on my neck stand up. Maybe not Classic albums but they should be!

I was about to say Appetite For Destruction - Guns N' Roses, but after seeing Darkside being mentioned, it brought back a lot of happy childhood memories in front of the stereo, so I'm going along with the Pink Floyd vote! :D

A personal fav of mine would be ...
    Blind Melon (eponymous)

Great album that I never seem to get tired of listening too, despite having for over 10 years

    Van Halen - Van Halen
Ozzy - Blizzard of Oz or Diary of a madman or both!

Metallica - (The Black Album)... or better again, S&M
    Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Machine Head - The Burning Red
Nirvana - In Utero (and Nevermind, just Because.)

Also a big fan of Iron Maiden's Brave New World, although I'm not sure if it's an enduring classic for me. Oh, and just for fun... throw Rammstein's Sehensucht in there, along with Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe :)

    Great album, that.
The Wicker Man is a fantastic opening song.
Have you seen Rock In Rio?
They start straight into that and Bruce comes bounding out from backstage.
    Great stuff altogether.

At The Gates - Slaughter Of The Soul

Downright revolutionary Swedish metal band that sadly broke up shortly after this was released. But they were quite hugely influential, having bands from as far across as Canada taking their styles straight out of the At The Gates book.
