    Don’t know if this should be posted here of in the jobs forum. I just got the go ahead to purchase a new mail server running Red Hat 7.2, Dell are supplying the equipment. It’s a Dell PowerEdge 1600SC SCSI. The machine will also act as an internet gateway. In the future we will be looking for someone to set up a web page but I don’t know when that will be. What my boss is looking for is someone who can provide support for this. I’m sure someone here is interested in earning a few pounds. Thing is it has to be through the books. Any takers??

    Yes and No.

    I work during the day, so you couldn't just drop me a call and have me pop over on the spot. T'would have to be mosey on over at lunchtime if a problem arose apres installation and then, probably fix whatever problem happened after my normal work ie 5pm give or take.

    Thus most system support I could do for you would be after hours and weekend work.

    Sounds good to me as long as you know the premises are in Athlone. The boss wants it hooked up on a Saturday anyway. Still have to get anti virus, any suggestions? PS I’ll need some kind of figures for the administration manager early next week.
