Got bathroom suite and cant seem to find a way to attach the sink to the wall.

House is old so had some trouble sorting it all out.

Anyway sink is now ready to be piped up everything fits but can see no logical way of attaching it to the wall.

Has a pedestal but that cant hold it on its own( i think it hold it upright but its not attached to wall).
    It must connect wall somehow.

1st pic of sink on floor shows enough info ,2 holes in sink are for pipes to go tru.

2nd pic is sink on pedestal placed against wall.
Still cant see a logical way to attach it ,old sink had 2 screws in holding it to wall this one dont.

    Any help appreciated.

Can't make anything out from the pics, but most normal sinks are supported by two L-shaped brackets, thqat attach to the wall and stick out horizontally to support the sink. Have a lookunder the sink to see if there are holes to suit this.

BTW, you're right in that the pedastel is not sufficient to support a sink properly.

Borzoi is absolutely right. Most sinks now are supported by long brackets fixed to the wall (make sure to use the adequate fixings has it will take the full weight of the sink).
Do you not get those brackets with the sink ? ( I never bought one).

On most sinks that I know of, those 2 holes that the pipes are passing through are used to fix two screws to the wall in order to secure the sink. Do the holes look like they have been enlarged to take the pipes?

What you could do is to raise the sink by maybe 1-2 inches, drill into the wall with a large masonry bit and put in 2 rawlplugs with screws. You could buy 2 large rubber-backed steel washers to prevent the screws passing through the large holes on the sink.

You will then have to re-direct the pipes by shortening them and putting on an elbow to link them back to the taps.

You could also use an adhesive such as 'NoMoreNails' or some silicon adhesive to bond the back of the sink to the wall (make sure the surface is clean) - dont rely on the adhesive by itself.

Hope this of some use to you.
