this offering that sky are lavishing upon us consists of....ringtones and logos!
the only good thing is that by visiting the site www.tx1.com you can get 1 free Logo and 1 free Ringtone per day sent to your fone
I now have the Only Fools and Horses blaring out for every fone call so maybe all is not bad.....:D

Also about to begin testing is the latest music offering from EMAP-this Channel called imaginativly enuff-The Hits is about to launch on the new Freeview system in the UK

I tried getting a ringtone but never got it. I can't edit my phone number now either. Can I ask what way you entered your number? I just started 087xxx but maybe I should have did 35387xx or 0035387xxx!

Sorry for going OT, ICDG! Anyway, what'll the story be with the channel? More of txt me channel I guess! :rolleyes: God, even Game Network is no more about games (on Astra 2, anyway) just txt messages taking up either the whole screen or huge chunks of it!!

Don't know about more music channels being a good thing, however, UK History is starting 30/10/2002, for me this is a very welcome addition.

Well I recieved my ringtone and a logo practically straight away,i registered my fone in the usual 086..... no. i didn't put any of the international prefixs before it.maybe you should just scrap that account you've set up and re-do it all again this time maybe with a different email address,you only get one mail off em anyway,just to finalise your registration.
But this channel is totally pointless already we have reached saturation piont for this paticular genre.
All this channels doing is taking EPG space thank god they'll probably keep it towards the rear of it where it belongs.

well since we are getting another emap channel why cant we just get a better more diverse standard of music channel not just the same candy pop we're subjected to practically across all the present channels.

BTW-Im looking forward to UK History too i hope its not full of repeats though!!

[OT]What's the chances of being text-spammed afterwards..? At the bottom of the registration page it says: "We may send you emails and/or SMS alerts and provide your details to third parties who may also contact you in accordance with the TX1 privacy policy. Please tick the box to agree".
But when you uncheck it and try to send it, you are alerted:
"Sorry, you must agree to our disclaimer in order to register for TX1 services."

I can do without - especially reading their naff Privacy Policy:

We may send You information, special offers and advertising by email, through SMS, within Our regular newsletters or through one-off promotional offers. One thing though, how do they pay for the transponder rental or whatever it's called. I can't imagine that there are that many people who'll spend €1.90 a minute for three minutes to get a lame rendition of the Final Countdown or some naff tune sent to their phone..

Well as i did just give an email address you hardly ever use,i have one set-up just for sh**e like dis so I really don't mind and as for being reversed billed by sms-this practice was outlawed last year.
But whoever the person/ppl behind the setting up of this channel r,must be somebit crazy-do they reayy think this is what people want if there ever was a poll or something similar to find out what sort of percentage of subscribers would want something like this-then it would take em very long to calulate that V E R Y,V E R Y few if even any at all would want this sh**e clogging up the epg
