I want to put all my fans thru a single variable resistor, so I can control the speed of them thru a knob at the front of my case, anyone have any ideas as to the circuitry involved? I was thinking of using a light dimmer switch :D

IIRC dimmer switches are like €60

But good aul Macroman on bit-tech has a guide on this

    Inline speed controller
    Complete fan bus guide

That should do the trick for you.

Try Maplin or Farnell or CPC or Peats for the parts you need
