if this happens it would be a great way to swap some op-flash ****.
and of course to see if we would be able to field some sort of clan depending of course on what kind of interest there is.

to cut to the chase ill need numbers anyone who is interested please post here and of course if anyone has a better place to hold this stick it up. any other help or suggestions would be helpfull too.

lets get our **** together men.

I'd be on for it :)

Monitors are something that should be organised.
Carrying a case on the bus is one thing, bring a monitor/someoen to carry it is another.

If you could get 20+ people for it I'd be interested and I could probably get one more with me.

    RARRR!!!

    Me go :)

I'm not much good at it, but started playing it at the last Galway LAN and enjoyed it a lot. I shall be playing it a lot more.

If we got 15-16 people it should be enough.
I've had a fair bit of experience with managing a server, but I need to do a good bit more reading.

One thing we need is a good venue. It will make or break the lan.

I propose holding it over a weekend in the new year, giving us time to get established etc.
    All-Night Lan?
    Accomodation?
    Security?
    Power?
    Cost?
    Monitors?

I might give Kix a shout too :)

    dublin? cork?
if we could have it in nethouse in cork we could give shad0r a shout, problem is would he cater for BYO?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,817 ✭✭✭✭po0k

    aye, that'd be sound.
Dunno if BYO would be neccessary then, unless you had a better machine then Nethouse.
Could just bring up your harddrive/addons folders on a CDR and install the game up there.

Would make it easier to organise tbh :)

he he, kinda funny how thinking helps sometimes, dont it!:p

ok if the people who posted here can garauntee that there friends will come,(cuz nearly everyone is bringing someone!) then we have just about enough people.

so lets put a date on it and decide a venue,

im not sure about any date for myself really so any suggestions are welcome, as for the venue, cork nethouse would be absolutely perfect for me.

    suggestions?

where do the majority of flashpointplayers reside? Dublin or Cork?
Which has the best spec PCs/people we know behind the counter?
An all-nighter(8pm-8am) for about €15-20 would be grand :)

galway would be perfect too, anywhere we could do it?

If it was in Galway it would more then likely have to be a BYOPC affair, as the net cafés in galway are a bit pants tbh.
There's one worthy of merit, but the pricing is steep and the place is full of CS-faeg kiddies and wanna-be "gam0rs".
