Next years International Rules series

I heard this morning that the Australians were considering asking the Irish to host again next year due to the Rugby World Cup being held in Australia. Apparently the GAA will not do this as they want the International Rules series to shadow the Irish Rugby team. To me this is a ridiculous decision by the GAA for several reasons. Firstly the Irish rugby team does not really inspire confidence for a prolonged run in the world cup, after all Argentina put us out of the last one. Secondly any Irish over there will already be going to at least one sporting event and may not be interested in a sport that they do not really follow, after all they will be rugby fans if they travel that far away. Finally if they keep it here they get to fill Croke Park a couple of more times next year and make a few quid extra.

    So what do you think?

not sure,i was all set to head down under next year to follow the GAA team,i suppose they have a point with the Rugby world cup and with australia been rugby mad its prob best to have it here again next year, although will that mean that the following two years will be then hosted in Australia?

I think that the officals want to follow the rugby themselves so they are using the Rules Series as an excuse for been out there!
