Xenogears trouble

I'm after buying a second hand copy of Xenogears from america that doesn't work. I was away when it arrived and only found out it didn't work after the warranty was up. Am I legally able to have a back up copy since I did pay for the license to use it and if so is there any one kind enough in the dublin area who will let…
