    Souce: Digital Spy.

A new time-shift channel from Living TV is preparing for launch on Sky Digital.

Living TV +1 is currently carrying out fully time-shifted tests under the name 'lgpo' and can be tuned in using the Add Channels function within the Sky EPG.

The lgpo channel is located at 11.739V using Symbol Rate 27.5 and FEC 2/3.

Earlier this year, a similar test, flex+, showed Living TV programming for some time and was expected to develop into a new channel. However, it is thought that rights issues prevented the time-shift channel from launching.

Why don't sky have +1 channels for the main entertainment channels, RTEs, BBCs, E4, SKY1....?

If RTE, BBC or E4 wanted +1 channels it would be up to them not sky. The reasons for not offering them are money and ratings.

The main cost would be that some programme providers would count the time shift channel as a different showing meaning the broadcaster would have to buy extra showings for a small audience increase. There is also the cost of renting extra transponder space, and the equipment to run the second channel.
