I dont see why you're so shocked, McCarthy has shown that he's always gonna play his favourites(i.e. Kilbane) instead of those who should be playing(Morrison). It wasnt gonna be any different this time...

I dunno why but I just felt that with all the injuries that this was
the time he was going to get it right and play duffer on the wing and give Clinton a start up front,

    God Damn It!

A poor selection choice, but one that has been and will be repeated by McCarthy. I suppose for the 90 minutes we all just have to stop being moaning smartarses 9even though we have great reason) and just cheer on the team. leave the McCarthy out chants until the end of the game.

Jesus H Christ in a sidecar McCarthy is taking the 'stubborn northerner' $hite too far. Kilbane is fu<king $hite, pure and simple and if he can't see this he deserves to be sacked.

I met Mick a couple of times, nice guy tbh. Very funny and quite smart.....

When it comes to football tho......

I think Ian Paisley would do a better job with the Irish team.

    ROFLMAO .... :D

I have to concur with this one man. You've hit the nail on the head. Mc Carthy is a gentlemen and is actually quite funny, but I really don't know what has possessed him to keep playing Duff up front.

    It's beyond me

Hopefully Dunphy will point this one out for McFarty. Not that Mick will pay any attention to it. Someone has to make this public and put Mick under some pressure to put out the best side on paper.

I mean I'd say I'M even better than Kilbane. I have no doubt that all of you out there are too.

It's not as if it hasn't been made public, Even Robbie Keane has mentioned that Duff is a menace on the wing (oh yeah and he can 'do' the biz upfront too!)

Actually, I think Duff struggles up front, not only is wide left his best position, its more or less his only position.

I must be the only one that likes the prospect of Duff and Keane up front....
and probably the only one that supports the managers choice.

I rather see Connelly on instead of Morrision... Morrision is our very own Heskey... only Heskey takes longer to get up after *lying* down..to a challenge.

maybe i play too much Championship manager...

No not Kilbane playing again

McCarthy will never learn, it should be Duff on the wing, & Doherty and Keane up front.

    Gandalf.

(btw if Ireland lose tonight I reckon McCarthy is gone)

I'd like to see Keane and Morrison up front (although Clinton sometimes lies down too easily)

IMO Connelly is beyond brutal. He can be so poor when the ball is on the ground (rather like big Quinn except he at least can head the ball)

Duff of course on the left.

    Kilbane and Connelly are múck

Hart's slow. (Also, Did anyone ever notice that Ian cant actually kick the ball very hard?)

All the other regulars are good / v good

I think Reid deserves a cap!

I personally prefer Clinton over Connelly, true in the Russia game Clinton did fall down a lot but hey the guy was injured!

I wish Stephen Reid was fit, I really do!
