Eamonn is going to be a big loss.

I think Matt Cooper is very good and he would make a great replacement.

Yes Eamon anounced last Friday that he is finishing at the end of the year I believe.
I think they have said they are going to have a new team of presenters.
I hope Matt Cooper is part of that team he is very good, the other guy Fintan O'Toole (? Not sure that's right) is quite good too.
Eamon will be a big loss though - I nearly crashed the car last Friday when he was asking Mark Lawrenson about Sven Goran Ericksons girlfriend and asked if she had "high mileage"!

A lot of us will miss Eamo, albeit sometimes in the way we miss a toothache!

Some very dodgy names have been mentioned, like Charlie Bird and Gerry Ryan!

Matt Copper has been a frequent and good stand-in (though his Corkonian syntax can be a pain)

I'd love to see Kevin Meyer get the gig just to see how many ppl that annoys! :D
why did Eamonn say he is going ?

He going off to make lots of money first with his autobiography (!) but more importantly, it sems there is talk of TV3 going heard-to-head with the Late Late Show. Guess who'll present it...

    Mike.

The show just won't be the same without Dunphy. There have been a few different people on it but I'd say Matt Cooper is the best choice.

    WhiteWashMan.

Because he always gets the last word in.

... and it'd still be an "Eamo", so... eh... continuity...

It's obviously going to be camp with Brian Dowling (God forbid)!

    Other contenders:
    Gay Byrne
    Mikey Murphy
    Yore Ma

I say replace it with drivetime muzik! ;)
