Just wondering, but in what order did the alien and predator movies come out? and if you know when did the comics come out in relation to the movies?
it'd be a big help if you could help me (heehee)

Same order for both comics and movies...

Aliens then Preditor.

thanks, but what I really need to know is, did it go Alien-movie then Alien-comic then Predator-movie then Predator-comic, and was that scene in pred2 where you see the alien skull on the trophy wall the first sign that they existed in the same universe?

No idea about comics, but the order of the movies was:

Alien 1979
Aliens 1986
Predator 1897
Predator 2 1990
Alien3 1992
Alien Resurrection 1997

It was indeed!
In actual fact, there was meant to be an AVP movie before Pred2. But it ws canned, as a Pred2 movie would have made more money. So the film makers included the Alien skull as a hint, or a 'comiiserations' to the film.

Bill Paxton's been killed by a Predator (P2), Alien (Aliens) and Terminator (Terminator)

Who was Bill Paxton in Terminator (my memory isnt was it was)? Was he the bloke at the start who gets offed in the bedroom?

Nabbed this post from another forum, it might help:

Quick explanation of Aliens comics & novels.

The first three Aliens comic seres - Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Earth War were written before Alien 3 existed. The first two books featured Hicks and Newt as the main characters, with Ripley only finally showing up on the last panel of Vol. 2. Earth War featured her journey - along with HIcks, Newt and some new Marine friends - to the Alien homeworld, where they captured the Queen Mother Alien, took her to Earth, lured most of the Aliens to her vicinity and then nuked most of the planet.

(this was followed up on when another of the Pilot creatures featured in Alien - the one fossilised into his chair - was brought to Earth by Hicks'n'Newt at the end of Vol. 1. It began to terraform Earth for it's own uses and was destroyed when the US president visited his ship with a chestburster inside him, which was the only perceived way to destroy the Pilot and its ship).

The three series, and some subsequent ones, were novilised after Alien 3 was released, so obviously couldn't features Newt and Hicks, though the characters they did use were obviously very similar. But! With Ripley also seemingly dead after Alien 3, the writers had to come up with something to explain why she managed to make it into Female (Earth) War. So they made her into a synth, programmed with all of Ripley's memories. I can't quite remember how they managed to explain that part though.

He was one of the 3(?) punks at the start of the movie who have a run in with Arnie on the streets (he's the one with blue hair from my memory). Strangely enough Paxton also had small appearances in two other subesquent Arnie vehicles (Commando and True Lies.)
