Tickets arent sold out are they?
Planning to go to the second game as I usually go to the first and fancy a change this time round.

No there should be plenty of tickets, but the GAA are expecting a crowd of around 50,000

    Bah.
Good opening half but isn't that always the way with the Irish?

A moment of madness in defence set the Aussies up for the win but well done to the lads for pulling that goal back.

    Bring on the second test.

It's basically a fitness problem. Professionalism vs. Amatuer. The Aussies were always going to be fitter.

Ah well it is not impossible that we will win the second test by more than seven points. Will be there to cheer the boys on. Some good little scuffles in the first test too.

    Question?

Is the ball different from a gaelic football?

I ask this because the Irish players couldnt even catch the cold.. i seen many gaa matches in my time in wet weather, but ever before have i seen so many footballs dropped...

Im off to the second match in just under an hour. Damn this weather, Im gonna get soaked... but if the Irish play like they did in the first half(similar conditions) then itll be good even if Im soaked;) . Hoping for a good match anyway.

Afaik, the ball is a GAA ball they use.
Balls were dropped cos to me it seemed as if the Irish were afraid to field the ball cos of the Aussies hard hitting.

    Anyway...on to today
    cluxton (sp?)
    brutal.

One gr8 save and then he ****s it all up by coming out for a high ball against a guy about 8 foot taller than hisself. Christ.

His kicking was poor. Gave it away to many times.

And the last kick by the Aussies after the hooter was a joke.
With that they won the match by 3 and the series by 10.

I felt the match today was extremely poor.:(

    Regulation GAA ball.

I was at the two games, and I left shortly after half time today, cos I was drenched and freezing!!! It wasnt much fun sitting in a stand in that weather. Nice woolly socks on now, and the kettle is now boiling for a hot cup of Lemsip. :)

The Shinty game was interesting, tho....

That game was the most exciting international rules test I'v seen, although I'v only see the last three years. The last quarter was brilliant. The last time I felt something like that was the liverpool vs. newcastle match a few years ago.

    I couldn't keep still.

Result of the series was fair enough though. Ireland lost it in the last game.

    Best series I've seen.

    Roll on 2003

I thought considering the conditions it was an excellent game. I wussed out of going when I looked out the window that morning and cursed myself for the duration of the second half. The crowd did not seem remotely bothered by conditions during the second half. Very entertaining. Think you are being a bit harsh on Cluxton btw Kaimera.

They actually drew the match with that kick 42 points all so they only won the series by 7
