What a good car and configuration for the following setup.

I'm looking for something tough that can take a lot of knocks, needs to be fastish (but not mad fast). Needs to have good traction and pushing power. Say strong enough to push a lotus with the brakes on.

1st : grab the following setups
    Alison Hind X-1

Then pick the Cooper (Coventry) as your car, and drive it a bit, once you can get round most of the tracks at a decent pace, move to the Brabham, do the same, then the Ferrari. Once you can handle these 3 cars then you can handle any of the others.

Any of the cars in GPL, if driven properly, can beat a lesser driver in the lotus. Last nite i got a 4th on monza, outpacing a number of lotus and eagles in my humble ferrari (doing 5 laps in the 1:30.xxx's helped alot tho), apart from the start lap and another that i was taken off by someone all my laps were under 1:34. Only car i can't get a 1:32 on monza with is the BRM, which is slow oh so slow untill you put alot of time in on it.
