    Ok really stupid question time again!!!!!!!!!!
    Just reinstalled windows and since then to get the @ symbol I have to press shift and number 2 instead of shift and the @ key.

    How do I get the use of the @ key back???????

    see regional and keyboard settings, (2 separate control panels) and change from US to Irish in both, have the cd handy

    Your keyboard is setup in us format
    You can change it in the control panel
