    You can Buy it?

You can download it from many many places :)

Out local mirror of most things is ftp.esat.net/mirrors/

or try http://ftp.sunet.se - very very fast connections there :)

If you can't download them, try http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk/
I've ordered from them a few times and I've found them to be fast and reliable.

If you're in dublin some time try these:

    * The secretary's office in the maths dept in tcd always has the latest redhat distro and sometime the latest freebsd distro on cds for a few euros.

    * Waterstones/hodges-figgis tend to have boxsets of reasonably recent distros complete with manuals.

Otherwise, sign up to the ilug list via linux.ie and see if there's anyone near you who'll burn you a set of cds, then unsub from ilug again, quickly.

Oh FFS - brag why don't you :p

I won't be doing any downloading of ISOs, netsmart or none. Has anybody tried Mandrake 9? I'm on 8.2 and wondering if it's worthwhile upgrading. If anybody here wants to check it out, see http://www.linux-mandrake.com/

[off-topic]Anyone here know if PartitionMagic 7 or Xp or whatever the lastest is called has support for ext3? Annoyed me being unable to move my ext3 partition under PM6, though it does support ext2.[/off-topic]

Mandrake 9 is okay, but it still has a lot of bugs to iron out. Any amateur user who uses adsl might want to steer clear of this beta as they screwed their connection scripts. imho the nicest distro to work with atm is SuSe 8... They dont release the ISO's but i have some ISO's which were made from the retail version, with the pay-for software removed (stuff like realplayer server etc) If anyone's interested mail me...

    hth - noog.

Peanut Linux is a good choice for an old (pentium, 32mb)machine for a few reasons.

    1. It's needs about 600MB for a full system (incl. GUI and Office Package)

    2. It's a small download

    3. It's up to date.

If you have an dinosaur machine (386, 4Mb anybody) try Vector Linux www.vectorlinux.com/
