IL-2 Problem - Mouse in GUI

    Anyone know why my mouse is sticking in the menu?
    Seriously laggy.

    Installed that game, unzipped the 70meg 1.1a patch, copied it intot he folder, overwriting everything, then did same with 1.2
    Did i fúck it up somewhere?

    Heard something about this before and a quick look on an IL2 forum gives this

    "I sussed how to get id of the mouse lag problems on XP. Go to the IL2 folder and right click on the game app icon.

    Choose properties from the menu

    Choose the the compatibility tab

    Tick the box in the run in compatibility mode box and choose win98/Me from the list

    Tick the disable visual themes box

    Then your mouse should run smooth in the menus in IL2"

    I had to switch back to DriectX accleration to get my mouse to work with IL-2
