Starcraft2 ?

Clock been counting down for the last 24 hours
just under a hour left now
there have been a few hidden messages igiven out every few hours or so mainly quotes from the ghost unit in sc the last 1 being "ghost reporting"

i remember hearing that Blizzard will make an announcement on the 20th (today) at some tokyo game show or something about their upcoming game. i thought it was gonna be a warcraft3 expansion. heres fingers crossed for starcraft2.

StarCraft: Ghost Announced

Like the name implies, StarCraft Ghost puts you in the role of a stealthy Ghost trooper from the RTS, specifically a female Ghost named Nova. In case you've never played StarCraft and have no idea what the Ghost unit is, they are stealthy assassin troopers born with Psionic abilities and trained at a young age to be super-soldiers, kind of like high-tech ninjas with psychic abilities. Not a bad unit to base a game off of.

No specific platforms have been released at this time, and all Blizzard is saying is "next-generation consoles," so by our best guesses, that probably means that we'll be seeing Nova on all three consoles. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the PC or Macintosh, and it appears that, at least at this point, StarCraft: Ghost will be a console-exclusive title.

think it will be out on multiple console platforms, xbox and cube ?
but not the pc

dunno about games like Starcraft on consoles, they tend not to be half as good as they are on the PC.

Yep, RTS stuff is generally a bit rubbish on consoles (although turn based stuff works nicely - currently drooling over Final Fantasy Tactics on GBA and Dynasty Tactics on PS2) which is presumably why Starcraft:Ghost is just a side-story set in the Starcraft universe, and not actually an RTS game at all.

It sounds vaguely interesting actually, although any game like this has the potential to turn out really badly... Example, C&C Renegade. Here's hoping Ghost is a bit better than that particular disaster...
