Can anyone recommend a moped/scooter shop in Dublin city to me?
I know bike world has the largest range but are very over priced, but I don't know of any other decent shops.

Also, can anyone recommend a good learners moped? I was looking at Piaggio and Suzuki models, but would like to know which manufacturer is most reliable

Dunno about shops...check out the Golden Pages

Some manufacturers tend to make only or mostly mopeds, Piaggio and Gilera being two. Suzuki make many bikes, so they know their stuff, but their mopeds could be crap.

I'd go for a Vespa. They've been making scooters for donkey's years, and look really cool :)

I would avoid the scooter shop beside O'Connell bridge, as a friend of mine had a bad experience there... The assistants are just normal shop assistants, and don't have the same level of experience (technical experience) as you would find in a typical bike shop..

Where do you live? There are bound to be bike shops near where you live, and most shops will order in whichever type of bike takes your fancy..

I believe that Vespa and Piaggio are now one and the same (someone pls. correct me if I'm wrong). Suzuki/Yamaha/Honda will be just as (if not more) reliable than the Italian companies..

If you can't find someone in your locality, try Jack Nolan's in the Coombe.. They're reliable, friendly, and reasonable..
